Sheri
is the founder and principal owner of Shan Industries,
LLC, a holding company that currently operates two manufacturing
companies. Accurate Forming, a metal stamping company
located in New Jersey and Thermodynamics, a rotational

from Tyco International in January 2000. In her role
as Chairman and CEO, Sheri has expanded the product
lines and capabilities of Shan's operating divisions
and is working toward additional acquisitions.
Sheri is a former owner, CFO, and COO, of Magnetic Data

group with domestic and international holdings. During
her tenure at DBI she engineered the company's acquisition

company that was responsible for a 20-unit upscale condominium
project in the historic Adams-Morgan neighborhood of
Washington, DC.
In August 2001 Sheri was invited to the President's
Economic Summit in Waco, Texas, during which time she
had a lively and widely quoted discussion with the President
on, among other things, Sarbanes-Oxley. Sheri continues
her public service today as a Presidential appointee

commission which advises the President, Congress and
the SBA on matters affecting small business. Her board
positions include Harvard University's Kennedy School
of Government Women's Leadership Board, the Center for
Women's Business Research and Boardroom Bound, the last
an organization dedicated to promoting diversity in
the corporate boardroom. She is a frequent speaker on
all aspects of entrepreneurialism, mergers and acquisitions
and accessing capital and spends a significant amount
of time supporting and mentoring other women business
owners.
In March 2002, the Women's Business Enterprise National
Council recognized Sheri at the WBE's annual gala as
an Outstanding Woman Business Owner. Sheri was selected
in March 2003 by Enterprising Woman Magazine as the
"Enterprising Woman of the Year" and now serves
as a member of their Advisory Board. Sheri has been
chosen by the Star Group to be honored in May 2005 as
one of the "Leading Woman Entrepreneurs of the
World." Recently Sheri participated in a Businesswomen's
Summit hosted in Riga, Latvia at which 50 senior executive
women from Fortune 500 companies, and from small and
medium-sized American businesses were matched with women
from the Baltic and Scandinavian Countries. Following
the Summit, Sheri was pleased to host two businesswomen
from Ukraine on the return portion of the program held
in November 2004 in Washington, DC.
Philanthropy is a significant part of Sheri's life's
work. Among other causes she supports and serves she
is on the board of the Kristi House in Miami, a refuge
and advocacy resource for young victims of sexual abuse
that is housed in the Orlowitz Children's Advocacy Center
of which she is a Founder. She is also active on behalf
of the International Humanitarian Campaign Against the
